Singapore women’s national team star Mastura (Mas) Jeilani has signed for Singapore Football Club.
In her new role Mas will be one of SFC’s senior coaches. The appointment is in keeping with Singapore Football Club’s (SFC) commitment to developing Singapore’s next generation of football talent.
Coach Mas made her professional debut at just 14 years old and 224 days old, making her the youngest ever debutant for the Singapore national team (for either men’s or women’s teams). At international level Mas has also been the Singapore women’s national team Captain.
Mas’ groundbreaking career covered new turf last year, when she was an integral part of Singapore first ever women’s football team to play in the Asian Games.
At club level Mas has continued to play at Singapore’s highest level for the past 16 years. Having spent the mainstay of her playing days at Balestier Khalsa (previously Simei United) in the Women’s Premier League. She now plays for Geylang International.
In her new role Mas will work alongside SFC’s Academy Director, Karim Hussin, and former national team Captain Shahril Ishak, in developing SFC’s Pathways & Opportunities programme for the club’s academy players.
