SFC Membership Terms and Conditions

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of Singapore Football Club (“SFC”). By becoming a member or participating in our activities, you agree to the terms and conditions below, which apply to all members of SFC. If you are under the age of 18 years, your parent or guardian guarantees and agrees to procure the performance of your obligations under this agreement.

For the avoidance of doubt, all references to SFC in these terms and conditions shall include reference to its related entities, including but not limited to Singapore Football Club Pte. Ltd., SFC Academy Private Limited and Singapore Women’s Football Club Private Limited.

  1. JOINING SFC

All members are required to play exclusively for SFC in any competitive events that SFC is involved in.

In addition, you agree to read and comply with SFC’s Code of Conduct as published on SFC’s website (https://singaporefootballclub.com/) and revised from time to time.

If you receive any financial assistance (including but not limited to reduced fees) or scholarship(s) from SFC:

  1. you understand and agree that you cannot join any other football club or association to play football or train for competitive football (including trials) without the prior written consent of SFC;
  1. you must inform any new football club or association that you intend to join that training compensation (proportionate to the time you have spent and training you have received with SFC) is due to SFC; and
  1. SFC reserves the right to demand from you (or your parent/guardian) a full refund of all costs incurred by SFC in training you, if you fail to comply with any of the terms set out herein.
  1. INJURY AND FITNESS

You understand that football is a physically demanding sport carrying with it the risk of injury. You accept these risks. You release and discharge SFC and its employees and coaches from all claims and demands that you have or might at any time hereafter have against SFC for death, injury or loss of any description in connection with football.

You agree to advise SFC of any medical conditions or special requirements that you may have that may affect your participation in SFC’s training or competition activities. You undertake that you are sufficiently fit and capable to participate in SFC’s training and competition activities.

  1. TRAINING ATTIRE

It is compulsory for all members to train in SFC training attire. One set of SFC training kit is provided to all new members, upon payment of registration fees. Should you make changes or alterations to the SFC training attire, you may be asked to purchase new items at your own expense.

Additional SFC training and match kits can be purchased via SFC’s online store, or upon request via email at info@singaporefootballclub.com.

  1. TRAINING VENUE

Our training venues can be found on our website. Each venue caters for a selection of age groups and teams. SFC reserves the right to decide where a member trains. The team or age group that a player trains with will typically be determined by the player’s age. This is primarily for safety reasons.

As SFC continues to grow, we are always looking to provide the best training venues for our members, where possible. Suitable football pitches in Singapore are limited, and whilst we do not look to change our training venues frequently, from time to time it may be required for various reasons. SFC reserves the right to relocate members to a different training venue should the need arise. Any changes will be communicated well in advance.

  1. SFC TRAINING

To train with SFC, you must have an existing package in place and no outstanding payments. SFC reserves the right to restrict you from training if either of these requirements are not met.

SFC conducts training sessions all through the year. We have 4 terms (quarters) that are each 12 weeks long. We do not conduct training on official Singapore public holidays.

SFC does not offer any pay-as-you-play options. This is to ensure that our coaches and administrative staff know which players will be attending each training session in advance, so that they can plan each session accordingly and ensure that the sessions do not become overcrowded.

Members should adhere to requested training days and attend the weekly training sessions signed up for. First and foremost, this is out of respect to fellow teammates, and also the coaches. Non-attendance can be disruptive for the training sessions planned. Additionally, in order to have pitches and coaching staff available for each training session, the operational requirements involved are significant. As a result, SFC cannot bear the burden for any changes in a member’s school or personal commitments which result in absence at a scheduled training session. The responsibility for attendance lies with the members (or parents or guardians as applicable). SFC reserves the right to charge additional training fees for any attendance at training sessions that members are not scheduled to attend.

Permanent changes to a member’s weekly training plan can be catered for in the following circumstances:

  1. before the start of a new term or package, provided there is space available for you at the training session you wish to change to; or
  1. an SFC senior coach recommends a change on the basis that there is an alternative training session that is better suited for your overall development. This change should be mutually agreed upon by both SFC and you / your parent or guardian.

SFC employs a buddy system for our coaches that ensures that there is coaching consistency for the members, should any of our coaches be away or unable to take a training session. The allocation of coaches to teams may be changed by SFC from time to time, with or without notice, at SFC’s sole discretion.

SFC offers non-members the opportunity to train with the club on a one off, free trial basis. Should a non-member continue to train with the club more than once, or request multiple trials, SFC reserves the right to charge for those additional training sessions, unless it is expressly conveyed otherwise.

  1. PRICING, PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS

Training fees are payable in packages determined by SFC. Training fees will be billed when they fall due. The billing cycle and payment methods will be communicated to the member or their parent/guardian at the time of registration, and whenever there are changes. It is the members’ or their parent’s/guardian’s responsibility to inform SFC of any changes to their email address(es) or other contact details.

Should there be late payments, SFC reserves the right to suspend training, until full payment of the outstanding invoice has been made. SFC reserves the right to apply penalty fees of SGD 25 for each day that an invoice remains unpaid past its due date.

All payments are to be made via PayNow or internet banking only.

Please note that SFC has a strict no-refund policy.

  1. AMENDMENTS

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time at SFC’s sole discretion and republished on SFC’s website (https://singaporefootballclub.com/). If the terms and conditions are amended in such a way as to materially alter your rights or obligations, SFC will make reasonable efforts to notify you of the change.

  1. TERMINATION

SFC may terminate your membership with immediate effect at any time. Subject to Clause 1 above, you may, after consultation with SFC and giving a minimum of one month’s notice, terminate your membership with SFC on a mutually agreeable date.

  1. APPLICABLE LAW

This agreement is governed by the laws of Singapore. In the event of any dispute arising out of or in connection with this agreement, you (and/or your parent/guardian where applicable) agree to engage in good faith negotiations for 30 calendar days to seek an amicable resolution upon receiving notice to do so. If the dispute cannot be resolved, you (and/or your parent/guardian where applicable) agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Singapore.
